SmartDongSchool Releases “DoteTimer” App for Galaxy Watch.

On the 7th, SmartDongSchool announced the launch of the Galaxy Watch version of its time management app DoteTimer, coinciding with the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch5.

The new Galaxy Watch version of DoteTimer can be used in conjunction with Android phones, allowing users to select to-do lists and track activity records directly from their smartwatch. The app is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

SmartDongSchool is an edtech company that has been a key content partner since Samsung’s first smartwatch launch. It also participates in Google’s collaboration programs and is recognized for its technological excellence in the wearable space.

Since its initial release, DoteTimer has drawn industry attention as a next-generation time management app—pitching to Tencent, discussing partnerships with Samsung, and being selected for support from global accelerator 500 Startups as well as the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT’s international expansion program.

The Galaxy Watch app expands the DoteTimer lineup. When used together with the mobile versions for Android/iPhone and offline planners like DotePlanner 101 / 52 / Goodnotes, users can significantly boost their productivity. The app also integrates with SmartDongSchool’s cloud service DoteBiz, making it useful for team projects.

DoteTimer features five core functions:

  1. Logging

  2. Statistics

  3. Groups

  4. Daily Journaling

  5. Donations

Its time tracking only activates when the phone is flipped over, helping users avoid distractions like web browsing or gaming and focus on study or work.

It includes advanced lifelogging with Google Analytics–level visualization, social features like those of Facebook and Instagram, group functionality based on the metaverse, and even a notebook donation system for underprivileged students.

Na Joon-gyu, CEO of SmartDongSchool, stated:

“With this Galaxy Watch release, we’ve now completed the full online and offline DoteTimer lineup. Over 50% of downloads are currently from overseas, and in the second half of the year, we will ramp up our global marketing, starting with Japan and China.”
