SmartDongSchool participated in the event ‘Global Mobile Vision (GMV) 2021’ organized by KOTRA

duTech company SmartDongSchool announced on the 1st that it participated in South Korea’s largest specialized export event in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) — Global Mobile Vision (GMV) 2021, held from the 25th to the 30th.

Since its launch in 2008, GMV has been growing annually and is the country’s only specialized exhibition supporting ICT conglomerates in expanding into overseas markets. The event offers opportunities for negotiations with global venture capitalists (VCs), accelerators, and provides access to diverse information and networking for international market entry. This year, GMV attracted 200 buyer companies from 37 countries worldwide.

SmartDongSchool showcased its main application, DoteTimer, at the exhibition. The development team leaders held video meetings with buyers from the US, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other countries and continue active communications to ensure successful overseas market entry.

DoteTimer was developed with crowdfunding support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and is based on the functionalities of DotePlanner. Key features of the app include time planning, time tracking, annual statistics, photo capturing, and donations through virtual coins. Through gamification, users can view rankings based on concentration time. Accumulated coins can be exchanged for gift notebooks and planners for children from vulnerable groups.

The development team plans to release a DoteTimer version for smartwatches in December and enhance the app’s capabilities by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) based on big data and social networking services (SNS). Additionally, starting from the 24th of this year, products combined with DotePlanner will begin selling at the Kyobo Hottracks store in Gwanghwamun.
