SmartDongSchool participated in the SBA’s charitable event “Beautiful Friday.” More than 30 companies donated goods, which were sold, and the proceeds were donated to charity

The Seoul Business Agency (SBA), led by CEO Chang Young-sung, is creating a virtuous cycle by simultaneously promoting outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting underprivileged groups through sales events featuring donated goods and charity activities.

Representatives from SBA reported that, together with the nonprofit organization Beautiful Store, they successfully held the “Beautiful Friday” event on the 14th at the Aniguk store.

The “Beautiful Friday” event is a charity initiative where donated goods from SBA-supported companies are sold, and the proceeds are directed to help underprivileged neighbors.

For the second time since last year, this event involved 34 companies — including R&D enterprises, Hi Seoul companies, content companies, and residents of G Valley and DMC — who collectively donated a total of 25,661 items. Additionally, SBA employees contributed 341 personal items. All these goods were made available for sale to the general public.

An “Exclusive Promotion Zone” was specially organized for participating companies during the sale of goods — including Brix Studio, Anyjak, J-Sha, Project Noah, Chapeau, Filamentree, Emtech Inc, Radian Q Bio, Broken Brain, Biomist Technology, The Real Marketing, Ultra V, Dongyeon Design, Pogri, Booheung Medical, Fine Korea Corporation, Smart Dongschool, Dunicop, Resole, Easy Yogurt, One Q P1, Mirai K, Lemontac Lab, Design Pang, Cashrang, Neulbom, Bobby CNE, Gyeonggongbonga, Proxy Healthcare, Creators Lab, Wave Company, Digital Zone, Fun Biz, and others.

This zone significantly contributed to supporting underprivileged neighbors and increasing the visibility of small and medium enterprises.

After the event, SBA donated 6,350,000 won to the non-profit organization “Beautiful Store” to support children from low-income families.

Go Bon Jin, Head of Management Planning at SBA, stated: “Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, this year three times more companies participated in the campaign compared to last year, enabling a more diverse and high-quality sale of charity goods to citizens and providing small businesses with a platform for effective offline promotion. This is very significant.” He also added, “Going forward, SBA staff and supported companies will continue to actively participate in charitable activities and advocate for expanding local assistance.”
