The City of Seoul and the Seoul Business Agency recognized DotePlanner and DoteBook, produced by SmartDongSchool, as Outstanding Products at the 2019 Seoul Award.

The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) selected DotPlanner and DotBook by SmartDongSchool as Excellent Products at the 2019 Seoul Award.

DotePlanner is a functional planner that incorporates time management techniques proposed by Peter Drucker, widely regarded as the father of modern management theory. The planner is designed to support yearly, monthly, and daily planning in an integrated way. Each dot in the planner represents 10 minutes, enabling users to manage their time with precision. It also facilitates the use of diagrams, tables, and structured note-taking.

SmartDongSchool is an EdTech company with advanced expertise in online education technology. It is a content development partner of Samsung Electronics for wearable devices and was selected for Google’s technical advisory program, through which it developed e-learning applications for wearables. The DoteTimer app, based on DotPlanner, is available on Google Play and can be used in tandem with the physical planner.

DotePlanner and DotBook were recognized as Seoul Award Excellent Products and received an award presented by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).

The main features of DoteTimer include time planning, time tracking, yearly statistics, photo logging, and coin donations. The app incorporates a gamification element — users are shown a ranking based on their focused time. Accumulated time is converted into virtual coins, which can be used to donate real notebooks or planners to students from socially vulnerable backgrounds.

Na Jun-gyu, CEO of SmartDongSchool, stated: “We are truly grateful that DotePlanner and DoteBook were selected as Excellent Products at the Seoul Award. In the future, we plan to supply our planners and notebooks to public institutions and expand into global markets through platforms like Kickstarter.”
