SmartDongSchool is launching the new conceptual planner DotePlanner on Japan’s largest crowdfunding platform Makuake

EduTech company SmartDongSchool announced on the 20th that it is conducting a crowdfunding campaign on Japan’s largest platform, Makuake, for its functional planner “DotePlanner.”

“DotePlanner” is a functional planner developed using Peter Drucker’s time management methodology—Peter Drucker is known as the father of modern management. The planner enables users to efficiently plan, delete, and combine yearly, monthly, and daily tasks.

Each dot in the planner represents 10 minutes, helping users manage their time effectively. The planner also simplifies creating charts, tables, and structuring text, which has attracted significant consumer attention.

This is the company’s second crowdfunding campaign on Makuake—last year’s campaign successfully exceeded its funding goal by 454%.

A key feature of “DotePlanner” is its compatibility with the time management app “DoteTimer,” developed based on the planner and launched with crowdfunding support from the Seoul government.

The main functions of “DoteTimer” include time planning, time tracking, annual statistics, photo-taking capability, and a virtual coin donation system. Through gamification, the app displays user rankings based on concentration time. Accumulated virtual coins can be exchanged for real notebooks and planners, which are donated to children from socially vulnerable groups.

“DotePlanner” is recommended for those planning for the new year 2022 and is available for purchase on the company’s official website and Naver Smart Store. The “DoteTimer” app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Kim Jihae, SmartDongSchool’s Makuake manager, noted: “After the success of the first campaign, we decided to launch a second crowdfunding campaign to mark the release of our new product—a 52-week planner. The start of our promotion in the Japanese market is very encouraging. In the future, we plan to expand into Asian and U.S. markets as well.”

The current crowdfunding campaign on Makuake offers a 30% discount off the regular price and will continue until November 12. Product shipments will begin in December and will be sent to Japanese backers.
