New Feature: “Three-Line Daily”
Following the donation feature, Dote Timer has introduced the “Three-Line Daily.” This feature is directly adapted from the feedback section of the existing Dote Planner app. The journal consists of three simple prompts: Worst, Best, and Next. Users can briefly record their worst experience of the day (Worst), their best experience (Best), and their plans for tomorrow (Next).
More Than Just a Diary: Self-Reflection
The purpose of this feature goes beyond simple diary writing. It helps users review their daily life, recall positive moments, and end the day with hope for tomorrow. By organizing the day this way, users are encouraged toward self-reflection and can feel a small sense of accomplishment.
Opportunities for Encouragement
The Three-Line Daily offers privacy settings that allow users to make entries public or private. If public, users can receive heart-shaped likes and encouragement from others. The system supports following other users, similar to Instagram or X (formerly Twitter). It is text-focused, without images or videos, encouraging deeper reflection through writing.
Connecting With a Global Community
Users can view journals shared by people around the world, offering a window into different cultures and lifestyles. This feature provides a unique opportunity to experience cultural differences and shared emotions globally.
Stress Relief and Positive Closure
Writing in this journal helps with psychological well-being by expressing negative experiences in words to relieve stress. Ending with the best moments and plans for tomorrow allows users to finish their day on a positive note.
